This Week's Hoax Well, it's a blog, but when I started writing these in 1996, I called them "hoaxes."

Humming along

In the hospital, on purple pillows, and back in the saddle in the tub.

I may not have enough material to submit for a half hour on Comedy Central. I was listening to eligible pre-pregnancy material, and thematically, not much of it goes with what I'm doing now. Also, I'm not interested in those topics anymore, so I can't even fake it onstage. I have a little bit time to write alot of material, and I'm not sure I can do it.

The dayjob is a lot of hours, in an office. Creatively, it gets most of my juice. Occasionally, I write these things called Ladytorials, about women's issues. I wrote one Friday about Hillary Clinton. The premise was that the left's negative coverage of her is more depressing to me than the right's, and last week the bashing was unrelentless. Kind of an "Et tu, the left?" theme, and I cited The HuffingtonPost, along with Salon and the New York Times as examples. I was a little nervous because HuffPo pays my mortgage... but they featured the Ladytorial on their site over the weekend.

Pretty cool.
